Churchill History Ruler - 30cm

Product Description: The Churchill History Ruler is plastic and measures 30cm long. It shows measurements in both inches and centimetres. On the inches scale it includes units of 1/16 of an inch and on the centimetre side units of 1 millimetre.

The front of the ruler has the title CHURCHILL History Ruler, with a photograph of two spitfires to the left and a photograph of Winston Churchill to the right.

On the reverse is a timeline of the main events during Churchill’s life. The timeline starts from 30 November 1874 and the birth of Winston Churchill and runs through to 24 January 1965 when Churchill dies. Highlights include The Soldier 1893 to 1915 when Churchill trained at Sandhurst and saw action in Cuba, Afghanistan, Sudan, South Africa and during World War I. Then as a politician from 1900 when he was first elected as an MP, joined the War Council in 1914, voted Prime Minister between 1940-45 during which time he gave several significant speeches to the British public and became prime minister again between 1951-55.
