Dragon Head Key-Ring

Product Description: This Viking Dragon Head is made from lead-free pewter and is modelled on the Birka Dragon artefact. It is supplied on a quality key-chain. The dragon head key-ring is presented on a Viking key-ring header card.

Information: The Birka Dragon, on which this model is based, was originally uncovered as a soapstone mould in the 1870’s, at Birka Sweden. In 2016 an original dragon made from an alloy of tin and lead was discovered at the Black Earth Harbour at Birka, which may have formed part of an ornate dress pin. The dragon is showing a gaping mouth with sharp teeth and a twisted tongue, as well as a pointed horn on the forehead and a characteristic curly mane on the neck.
