Kings & Queens of England Ruler - 30cm

Product Description: The Kings & Queens of England Ruler is plastic and measures 30cm long. It shows measurements in both inches and centimetres. On the inches scale it includes units of 1/16 of an inch and on the centimetre side units of 1 millimetre.

On the front of the ruler are images of a number of Kings and Queens of England, these being William I, Richard III, Henry VIII, Charles I, Victoria and Elizabeth II.

On the reverse of the ruler is a timeline of the Kings and Queens of England and also the houses / dynasties they were part of. The timeline starts from 43 – c.450 AD with Roman Britain and runs through to 1952 when Elizabeth II became Queen of England and head of the Commonwealth. Highlights include 1066 when William I seized the throne after defeating Harold II, 1215 when King John signed the Magna Carta, 1348-50 when the Black Death kills a third of the population, 1483 when Richard III became King, 1509 when Henry VIII becomes King, 1553 after the death of Edward VI Lady Jane Grey becomes Queen for two weeks, 1642 – 48 the English Civil War and 1837 when Victoria became Queen.
