Product Description: This Messerschmitt BF109 pin badge is made from metal and is a raised high definition 3D image of the side profile of the aeroplane. It is supplied on a pin with separate clasp. The pin badge is mounted on an information card, which has the Messerschmitt BF109 title and details of Erich Hartmann ‘The Black Devil’ who flew the Messerschmitt BF109 on the front. On the reverse is historical information about Hartmann and the aircraft.
Information: By the end of WWII Erich Hartmann was the highest scoring pilot fighter ace in the history of aerial warfare after shooting down 345 Soviet aircraft and 7 American. He was hugely admired by fellow Luftwaffe airmen and was nicknamed ‘The Black Devil’ by the Soviets. His preferred plane was the BF109.
