Mini Moon Gazing Hare

Product Description: This 3.5cm tall Moon Gazing Hare is made from resin that is painted with an antique bronze finish. It is supplied with a full-colour information card that has a Celtic stylised image of hares chasing each other. There is also historical information which describes the myth of the hare in ancient times. The hare and folded card are supplied in a clear box.

Information: The myth of the hare-in-the-moon is almost universal and goes back to ancient times. The hare is always an attribute of lunar deities and can symbolise fertility. The hare was important to the early Britains; Boadicea would release a hare at the beginning of each new campaign against the Romans. Today hares can be seen, as indeed they would have been by our ancestors, silhouetted against the evening sky line.
