Product Description: The Roman Emperor Ruler is plastic and measures 30cm long. It shows measurements in both inches and centimetres. On the inches scale it includes units of 1/16 of an inch and on the centimetre side units of 1 millimetre.
On the front of the ruler are images of the busts of six Roman Emperors, Augustus, Nero, Trajan, Hadrian, Antoninus Pius and Marcus Aurelius.
On the reverse of the ruler is a Roman timeline. The timeline starts from 753 BC and the legend of Romulus and Remus who founded Rome and runs through to AD 565 when the "Last Roman" Justinian died. Highlights include the invasion of Britain by Julius Caesar in 54 BC, the first Roman Emperor Augustus in 27 BC, the great fire of Rome in AD 64, the construction of Hadrian’s Wall between AD 122 and AD 129, the auction of the throne by the Praetorian Guard in AD 192 and the spilt of the Roman Empire into east and west in AD 286, which led to its eventual disintegration.
