Roman Soldier Bust 7cm

Product Description: This model bust of a Roman Soldier on a base is made from resin that is hand painted in a bronze finish and measures 7cm tall. The base is inscribed with the words "Roman". The model is supplied in a white box with a label identifying it on the front.

Information: The Roman legionary was a professional heavy infantryman of the Roman army. These soldiers would conquer and defend the territories of ancient Rome, alongside auxiliary and cavalry detachments. Roman legionaries were viewed as the foremost fighting force in the Roman world.

This Roman legionary is wearing a tunic and a padded jacket over which a lorica segmentate, a type of body armour, is worn. On his head he wears a galea, helmet. Both were used to protect the soldier in battle. The soldier would usually also carry a gladius sword and a scutum shield.
