Product Description: This Saturn pendant is made from lead-free pewter. The Saturn planet model is supplied on a waxed cord. The pendant is mounted on an information card, which has an image of Saturn on the front and on the reverse, it provides information about the planet Saturn.

Information: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are known as the outer planets. They lie in the outer regions of the solar system. All of these planets are huge balls made almost entirely out of gas, so they are called the gas giants. The outer planets all have ring systems, although all but Saturn’s are faint.

Saturn is the second largest planet in the solar system after Jupiter. It measures about 365,882 km (227,349 miles) around its equator, over nine times wider than Earth. It is made up mostly of hydrogen and helium, which are very light gases. Saturn is also the ringed planet because it is surrounded by a visible system of rings made of dust, rocks and icy boulders.
