Information: A group of dinosaurs called the Theropods were the killers of the dinosaur world. They were large and ferocious and usually walked on their clawed rear feet. They also had sharp-clawed hands used for attacking and holding their prey. Most had sharp serrated teeth for cutting through flesh and bones.
The carnosaurs were the most famous theropods. They would catch and kill prey as well as scavenging for dead creatures. The most famous member of this family was Tyrannosaurus Rex who was about 14 metres long and weighed 8 tons. Some of its teeth measured 18cm in length.
