Product Description: The Viking History Ruler is made from wood and measures 30cm long. On the reverse, it shows measurements in both inches and centimetres. On the inches scale it includes units of 1/8 of an inch and on the centimetre side units of 5 millimetres.
The front of the ruler shows an image of a Viking longship on the top and has a Viking timeline with dates and historical information. The timeline starts from AD 793 and the first Viking raids on the English coast and runs through to 1066 when William I defeated Harold at the Battle of Hastings. Highlights include Dublin is founded by the Vikings 841, Alfred divides England with the Danes in 866, Leif Eriksson reaches North America in 1000 and King Canute ruled England 1016-1035.
